In Transcarpathia, detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security exposed an oil refinery producing counterfeit fuel.

The director of the Kyiv enterprise, which only had a permit for wholesale trade in fuel, organized its illegal production on the territory of Mukachevo, reports the press service of BEB.

It is noted that raw materials for production were purchased from Ukrainian suppliers and processed at the plant. Counterfeit fuel was sold through controlled gas stations.

Currently, detectives are investigating the involvement of the family of the leader of the banned party "OPZH" Viktor Medvedchuk.

It is noted that the employees of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine conducted 18 authorized searches on the territory of the refinery and in the residences of the persons involved. They discovered and seized almost 600 tons of fuel worth more than UAH 32 million, equipment for its production, draft records, seals, more than UAH 3.3 million in cash, vehicles, etc.

The press service added that the pre-trial investigation under Articles 204 and 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is ongoing.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, the economic court of Kyiv region returned 9.5 hectares of forest on the banks of the Dnieper in Boryspil district to the ownership of the state. The forest was illegally owned by Oksana Marchenko, the wife of Viktor Medvedchuk, the leader of the banned "OPZH" party.
