A claim for damages will be sent to the violator

In Transcarpathia, near Uzhgorod, on lands of agricultural use revealed the extraction of 3690 m3 of loam.

Damages from such activities reached 3.6 million hryvnias, the State Environmental Inspection in Zakarpattia Oblast reports on Facebook.

It is noted that the violations were discovered within the village of Mali Selmentsi in the "Nisku" tract of the Palady-Komariv village council. Eco-inspectors noticed two excavations from which minerals were extracted using special equipment.

"The entrepreneur, not having the appropriate permission, nevertheless carried out illegal activities," the press service said.

The message added that an investigative-operational team was called to the scene of the incident, which recorded the violation and should enter it into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations and react accordingly.

It is noted that the violator will be sent a letter of claim regarding compensation for damages caused to the state.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Commercial Court of Zakarpattia region ordered the company to compensate almost 6.7 million hryvnias for damages for illegal mining of sand-gravel mixture instead of arranging a pond for fish breeding.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, in Transcarpathia, eco-inspectors discovered illegal sand mining in the Uzhgorod district, which caused losses of about 10 million hryvnias.
