To solve the problem with garbage in Transcarpathia, it is necessary to build at least 4 garbage sorting plants

In Transcarpathia, in the Tyachiv district, a waste sorting plant can be built, which will become the second in the region.

This was stated by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, Volodymyr Chubirko, according to the department's Facebook page.

It is noted that Chubirko spoke about such plans during a presentation on the construction of a waste sorting plant in the village of Yanoshi, in Berehiv district.

"There are more than 300 spontaneous landfills in Transcarpathia, and the need for proper waste management and soil and water pollution is urgent," he said.

Chubirko emphasized that in order to solve these problems, it is necessary to build at least four waste sorting plants in the region.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in April, in Transcarpathia, in the village of Yanoshi, preparatory work began on the construction of a waste sorting plant, in particular, all the necessary documents were signed, and 20 pieces of equipment started working on the construction site.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Lviv, the construction of the waste processing plant was completed by 37.7%, in particular, the foundation for the walls of the complex was laid. Construction should be completed by the end of 2023 and the plant should be launched in February-March 2024.
