Video surveillance cameras will be installed at sites for the collection of solid household waste in Kobelyaki, Poltava region.
They will film violators of the rules of landscaping, i.e. those who litter, reports Kobelia Territorial Community.
It is noted that such a decision was agreed upon at a joint meeting of the standing commissions of the Kobylacha City Council. For this, 42 thousand hryvnias will be allocated from the budget.
The message emphasized that they also discussed at the meeting issues of improvement in the territory of the community, namely mowing the grass and liquidation of natural garbage dumps. The meeting was dedicated changes to the indicators of the community budget for 2023.
It is worth noting that the community suffers from a large amount of garbage at waste collection sites and spontaneous landfills. Therefore, Kobelyak activists call for an increase in the number sorting containers for solid household waste, namely glass, paper, plastic and metal.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Poltava region, Kremenchutsk district, Globinsk community is planning to build a waste processing plant or a point for processing solid household waste.
As EcoPolitic previously reported, in 2021 in Kyiv, video surveillance cameras were installed at natural landfills, so that the police could establish the identity of the violator and bring him to administrative responsibility.
