The Merefyan community will receive 48 panels with a capacity of up to 500 W

Ukraine received solar panels with inverters from Germany, as well as other equipment to support the energy sector.

The aid will be provided for the needs of JSC "Mykolaivoblenergo" and the Merefyansk community in the Kharkiv region, the Ministry of Energy reports on Facebook.

It is noted that the aid came as part of the agreement between the countries, which signed in April 2023 to deepen the German-Ukrainian energy partnership.

The message emphasized that Mykolaivoblenergo will receive:

  • 27 pairs of solar modules with inverters;
  • 26 modern EcoFlow batteries from the German company Green Planet Energy.

In addition, 48 panels with a capacity of up to 500 W will be transferred for the needs of the Merefyansk community in Kharkiv region.

The press service of the Ministry of Energy said that the partners also transferred:

  • 16 power transformers with solid insulation from The Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe;
  • distribution devices;
  • cable coils;
  • 55 generators.

"Today, Ukraine is undergoing the largest-ever repair campaign at energy facilities. We are preparing for the heating season, which may be no less difficult than the previous one. And the help of our international partners in this preparation is very valuable, in particular for the sector of renewable sources ", said Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko.

It is noted that the main goal of renewed bilateral cooperation within the framework of the Energy Partnership is to provide support in the restoration of the energy infrastructure on the principles of sustainability and to accelerate the green transformation of the energy sector.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that Ukraine and Germany started a joint project "Renewable energy sources for sustainable Ukraine – R2U" for 20 communities to equip critical infrastructure facilities with green power plants.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the German government increased the budget of technical assistance projects, which will be implemented in Ukraine within the framework of the International Climate Initiative up to €44.5 million. The projects are aimed at the development of climate policy, biodiversity protection and green restoration.
