The implementation of the draft law will require 69.95 million UAH of funding from the state budget

The Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management recommended that the Verkhovna Rada adopt as a basis and as a whole the government draft law No. 9354 "On the creation of a park-monument of garden and park art of national importance "Mezhyhirya".

The potential park is located in Kyiv Oblast, on the territory of the Vyshgorod district, the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, reports in Telegram.

He said that the area of the monument park will reach about 138.5 hectares. State-owned lands will be provided for permanent use.

Melnychuk added that the formation of a special administration of "Mezhihirya" in the sphere of management of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources is envisaged.

In the explanatory note, it is noted that tours and people are resting on the territory of the government residence "Mezhihirya". However, the funds for the visit are not paid to the state budget, which is unacceptable in the conditions of martial law and a significant budget deficit. The implementation of the draft law will require additional financing from the state budget under the program "Conservation of Nature Reserve Fund" in the amount of UAH 69.95 million.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Kyiv City Council supported the announcement botanical monument "Flood of Orchids" and the zoological attraction "Ground of Predatory Birds" in the Holosiiv district.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources approved the request for creation of the reserve "Free Svidovets" in Transcarpathia, where they planned to build a ski mega-resort.
