Public utilities collected about 25 bags of garbage

In Kyiv, public utilities collected dozens of bags of garbage in the Zhukov Ostrov landscape reserve of local importance, in the Goloseevsky district.

The protected reservoirs adjacent to the island were also cleared of debris, the communal enterprise Forest and park economy Koncha-Zaspa reports on Facebook.

The report said that a comprehensive cleaning was carried out jointly with the public utilities from Pleso. They collected about 25 bags of rubbish.

A spontaneous dump on the island was discovered in early May. The protected area of the island, including reservoirs, were littered with plastic and glass bottles, car tires, canisters, bags, car parts and other debris.

In addition, employees of the Goloseevsky National Park found that, despite the ban on the arrival of vehicles, the roads on the island were "broken" by cars. Traces of illegal cutting of trees were also found.

Earleir, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Kyiv, in Zverinetsky Square in the Pechersky district, the construction of the OZON Concept House residential complex has begun again, which involves cutting down 1691 trees. This is the third company in ten years that plans to build up the square.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, the director of a private company that built up the reserved Dolobetsky Island will be tried in Kyiv.
