The competition covers eight areas for 56 countries

Ukrainians will be able to take part in the ClimateLaunchpad environmental business solutions competition.

The winners of the competition will receive €10,000 and study at the ClimateLaunchpad accelerator, the Rivne Regional State Administration reports.

In the message, emphasize that this competition is the largest English-language competition in the world for young startups. The project will be implemented in Ukraine for 8 years.

It is noted that the competition covers eight areas for 56 countries, namely:

  • Sustainable Mobility (sustainable transport);
  • Circular Economies (circular economy);
  • Urban Solutions (environmental solutions for cities);
  • Clean Energy (clean energy);
  • Food Systems (climate-smart food production);
  • Adaptation & Resilience (adaptation and resistance to climate);
  • Blue Economy (ocean economy);
  • The Next Big Thing (Big discoveries).

"The most promising ideas will be selected for participation in the training program and preparation for the National Final, and the best of them will be able to get to the Global Final," said the press service of the Regional State Administration.

Applications for participation in English can be submitted until June 20, 2023 via the link.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Ukrainian delegation presented 12 eco-startups at the world's largest annual exhibition of consumer technologies, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, USA.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the Ukrainian eco-startup Releaf Paper, which produces paper from fallen leaves, received a €2.5 million grant from the European Commission for the construction of its first factory.
