Damage calculations are carried out to further calculate the amount of damage caused to the surrounding natural environment

Eco-inspectors calculated 243.4 million hryvnias in damages from the enemy shelling of the Mykolaiv International Airport.

The shelling caused a large-scale fire and partially destroyed the building of the airport, the State Environmental Inspection of the South-West District reports on Facebook.

The message emphasized that the airport territory was inspected in March 2023, and the shelling took place in April 2022.facebook.com/sw.dei

It is noted that the total amount of calculated damage includes damages for:

  • clogging with construction waste with a total volume of 102 cubic meters land resources of the territory for 5,000 square meters due to the destruction of the building;
  • a fire in a garage box with an area of ​​120 square meters.

The message explained that damage calculations are carried out for further calculation of the amount of damage caused to the surrounding natural environment.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, Ruslan Strelets, said that recording and calculating damages from every Russian crime against the environment is necessary to prepare high-quality materials for the International Criminal Court in order to receive reparations.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, eco-inspectors calculated 273.4 million hryvnias in environmental damage from the shelling of residential buildings in the Mykolaiv region since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. During this time, enemy troops damaged 10,856 houses.
