In Kyiv, pensioners, migrants and other vulnerable categories of citizens will be able to sterilize their pets for free.

The campaign will last from March 6 to 8 in the clinics of the KP "Kyiv City Veterinary Medicine Hospital", reports the press service of the KMDA.

The message emphasized that in order to sterilize an animal for free, it is necessary to take with you a document confirming the right to benefits.

It is noted that the following can use this right:

  • pensioners;
  • low-income and large families;
  • persons with disabilities of groups 1 and 2;
  • internally displaced persons;
  • war participants and combatants.

The press service added that animals will be sterilized in all clinics of KP "KMLVM", however, prior registration is required for participation:

  • Darnytskyi district: st. 29 Armenska Street, phone: 097 563 92 79; (044) 366 64 04; (044) 563 94 79;

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the study of the company Gradus on the attitude of Ukrainians to the sterilization of animals showed that 82% of people consider it an effective and necessary method to fight the uncontrolled reproduction of homeless animals. In addition, sterilization extends the life of animals by 3-5 years and prevents the occurrence of a number of diseases.

As Ecopolitic previously reported, animal volunteer Anastasia Tykha, whose photo during the evacuation from the destroyed Irpen went viral all over the world, asked Ukrainians for help for an animal shelter.
