In the Kyiv region, the court decided to recover UAH 3.5 million in environmental damage from an enterprise in Bila Tserkva.

The enterprise emitted pollutants into the air without special permission, the Kiev regional prosecutor's office reports on Facebook.

It is noted that such actions are a violation of the legislation on environmental protection. In addition, the enterprise carried out emissions in excess of the norm.

The press service emphasized that the Economic Court of the Kyiv region supported the principled position of the Specialized Environmental Prosecutor's Office and ordered the company to compensate UAH 3.5 million for losses.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Kiev region, the sugar factory Shamrayevsky Sakhar LLC in the village of Ruda, Belotserkovsky district, voluntarily compensated UAH 64,000 for damage for clogging and pollution of land. In October 2021, environmental inspectors discovered that the company was storing waste in unauthorized places on open ground.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, MP and member of the Temporary Investigative Commission on illegal logging in the Transcarpathian region, Yuliya Yatsyk, suspected officials from the regional prosecutor's office of being involved in the schemes of the forest mafia.
