Plants listed in the Red Book grew on the destroyed site

In Vinnytsia, the State Bureau of Investigation reported suspicion to a forester from the Yampil Forestry of the SE "Zhmeryn Forestry" for plowing 14 hectares of the nature reserve.

The territorial administration in the city of Khmelnytskyi reported on Facebook that this was part of a plan to create a private hunting ground.

The report noted that the forester was growing winter wheat on the plowed plot, with which he planned to lure wild animals and organize private hunts for them.

The press service of the SBI emphasized that in this area the intruder destroyed plants listed in the Red Book, namely:

  • plantation of rock oak;
  • relict Podil mountain ash trees;
  • Parva sedge;
  • low sedge;
  • curly hair

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Vinnytsia, the prosecutor's office informed 5 officials of the management of the forestry and hunting management district and "Kryzhopol Forestry" of suspicion of exceeding their official powers, which caused serious consequences. They are suspected of illegal felling of trees in the amount of about 87 million UAH.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the State Bureau of Investigation in Transcarpathia reported suspicion to an employee of the Yasinyan Forestry, who allowed illegal logging for 18 million UAH. And also to three employees of Mykhailiv Forestry in Zaporizhzhia Region, who carried out illegal felling of trees for 1.7 million hryvnias.
