Russian aggression caused more than 57.5 million hryvnias of damage to Ukraine's environment in 10 days – from December 16 to 26.

Mykolaiv and Odesa regions suffered the most damage, where eco-inspectors calculated 39 million hryvnias in damages, reports State Environmental Inspection on Telegram.

The press service said that kamikaze drones damaged a container with vegetable oil of Avery LLC. The oil spilled over the territory of the enterprise and beyond, in particular, it got into the water area of the Buzki estuary and polluted 750 m2 of the area.

"Also, as a result of the fire, there was air pollution," the report emphasized.

It was noted that a spot of sunflower oil with an area of 3,000 m2 was later discovered downstream in the area of the Lower Siversky lighthouse.

Laboratory studies showed an excess of fat content by 5.5 and 15 times.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the eco-inspectors calculated over 1.54 trillion hryvnias in losses to the surrounding natural environment of Ukraine, which the Russian army has inflicted since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Mykolaiv, prosecutors, together with police investigators and eco-inspectors, took samples, in particular of soil, from the territory of the enterprise, where Russian troops destroyed tanks with sunflower oil.
