Artem Dedenok, a high school student from Kherson, created a new type of ecological food sources due to biosynthesis in bacteria and food residues.

Even now, the technology allows you to charge a smartphone, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University reports on Facebook.

The young man received a gold award at the International Warsaw Inventions Show 2022.

The competition was held in Warsaw, Poland. It is the largest international event for innovation and invention.

The message noted that the power source created by Artem is cheap to manufacture, does not require heavy production and can use food scraps for its work. The synthesis takes place in bacteria of the Geobacter strain. Such a technology is quite relevant in the current situation, when there are constant power outages in Ukraine.

The young man and his supervisor will work on improving the technology and searching for alternative ways of its application.

The boy is currently studying at the Taras Shevchenko Ukrainian Physical and Mathematical Lyceum of KNU. Previously, he was a student of the Kherson Physical and Technical Lyceum.

The message emphasized that in 2022, Ukraine will have 20 scientific winners.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that students of the KPI Polytechnic Lyceum patented a car that will work on fallen leaves and household waste.
