Black loggers destroyed 100 trees, in particular in the nature reserves of 2 regions of Ukraine

The survey materials and damage calculation were handed over to law enforcement agencies

Eco-inspectors discovered the illegal felling of 63 acacia trees in the Trakhtemiriv Regional Landscape Park, which caused damage to the environment in the amount of over 246.7 thousand hryvnias.

Also, in the forest belt of Buchansky district, in Kyiv region, the illegal felling of 39 trees caused 196,000 hryvnias worth of damage, the State Inspectorate reports on Facebook.

Trachtemyriv is located on the Trakhtemyriv peninsula, which is part of the Kyiv and Cherkasy regions.

The report noted that such felling of trees is a violation of Articles 7, 8, 23 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine".

The eco-inspectors handed over the survey materials and damage calculation to the law enforcement agencies.

They are also preparing materials for law enforcement officers regarding the destruction of 39 trees of the species of maple and common oak.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Vinnytsia, the prosecutor's office informed 5 officials of the management of the forestry and hunting management district and Kryzhopol Forestry of suspicion of exceeding their official powers, which caused serious consequences. They are suspected of illegal felling of trees in the amount of about 87 million UAH.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in the Kirovohrad region, eco-inspectors together with police officers discovered and detained black loggers who caused damage totaling more than 257 thousand hryvnias.
