In Kryvyi Rih, the state of water in the Ingulets River and its water area has completely stabilized after russian troops destroyed the dam of the Karachuniv Reservoir with a missile strike on September 14.

The preliminary amount of environmental damages is 637 million hryvnias, the deputy head of the Committee on Environmental Policy, the chief coordinator of the Operational Headquarters for the Fixation of Ecocrimes, Olena Kryvoruchkina, reports on Facebook.

She said that currently the spontaneous leakage of water from the Karachuniv reservoir has reached 16.9 million cubic meters.

"At the moment, all the necessary materials are being prepared for their transfer to law enforcement agencies and to the Operational Headquarters of the State Environmental Inspection," she said. Kryvoruchkina.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that because of missile strike with 8 cruise missiles in Kryvyi Rih, the water level in the Ingulets River began to rise, 112 private houses were flooded, and about 5,000 families were left without water supply. A significant leak of water was observed at the site of the impact.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Kryvyi Rih the destruction of the dam on the Ingulets River led to increase in the content of phosphates and nitrites in water, probably due to flooding of utility networks and cesspools in yards.
