Russian troops have already caused more than 78 billion hryvnias of damage to the environment of Kharkiv region

In the liberated territories of Kharkiv region, eco-inspectors, together with the military, began surveying these territories and recording the damage caused to the environment by russian troops.

They inspected the most destroyed objects in the de-occupied Chuguyiv and Izyum districts, reports Ministry of Environment on Telegram.

The military of the Ivano-Frankivsk voluntary formation of the territorial community "Zahid" joined the survey.

The article emphasized that, according to the Operational Headquarters of the State Inspectorate, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the amount of damage to the environment of Kharkiv region has already amounted to more than 78 billion hryvnias. A significant part of these losses was clogging and soil pollution.

"We thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the liberation of these territories, and we continue our work on recording and calculating the damage to the environment. Russia will pay for all crimes on our land," the message said.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Kharkiv region, thanks to a successful counteroffensive by the Armed Forces 150,000 hectares of forest were cleared 5 forest farms, namely Kupyanskyi, Chuguyevo-Babachanskyi, Balakliyaskyi, Izyumskyi, Vovchanskyi.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, eco-inspectors in Kharkiv calculated 3.18 billion hryvnias in damages to the environment from the shelling by Russian troops of the park named after Gorky, which happened on August 9, 2022.
