The results of laboratory studies of the water of the Ingulets River will be made public on the "EcoZagroza" platform

The head of the Ministry of Environment, Ruslan Strilets, said on the broadcast of the "Edyny Novyni" marathon that the destruction dams of the Karachy Reservoir in Kryvyi Rih led to the pollution of the Ingulets River with garbage and the contents of cesspools.

On the morning of Friday, September 16, local residents noticed that the water the river turned red, reports First Kryvyi Rih and the Ministry of Environment on Facebook.

On September 14, the impact of russian rockets into the water protection structure led to a very rapid rise in the water level in the Ingulets River. Due to which, according to the State Emergency Service, 160 houses were inundated and flooded.

The shooter noted that the most critical moment was in the first 8 hours after the terrorist attack, because the water level was rising rapidly. In general, the water level rose to 5 meters. The Ministry of Environment has no concerns about the expansion of the flooded area, because restoration work is being carried out, and the situation is under control.

"Thanks to the coordinated work of the State Emergency Service and the local authorities, on the morning of September 15, it was possible to close the destroyed shield that was releasing water, which led to a gradual decrease in the water level," he said.

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine also emphasized that after the water level stabilizes, laboratory tests of water samples will be conducted. The results will be published on the "EkoZagroza" resource.

He also said that "EkoZagroza" contains information on the state of water quality, which is systematically updated.

As reported EcoPolitic before, on September 14, russian troops bombarded the city of Kryvyi Rih with 8 Kinjal and Iskander cruise missiles, which damaged the dam of the Karachuny reservoir.
