The situation with fires in the region's ecosystems is under control

In Kyiv, on Friday, September 2, in the morning, heavy smoke was observed due to a fire on a peatland in the village of Sosnivka, Vyshgorod district.

The situation is complicated by such a seasonal phenomenon as meteorological haze, it is reported State Emergency Service of Ukraine on Telegram.

Meteorological haze occurs as a result of an increase in humidity and a decrease in the temperature of the atmospheric air.

The rescuers of Ivankiv are working to eliminate the fire. In the message, it was noted that in order to improve the situation with the air condition, the residents of Kyiv are recommended to:

  • close the windows at home;
  • do not go outside once more;
  • if available, turn on the air purifier on maximum mode.

"Dear citizens! Keep calm! The situation with fires in the region's ecosystems is completely under control!" - noted in the State Emergency Service.

Earlier, EcoPolitic reported, that residents of Kyiv were urged to close their windows and limit their time outside fire on peatlands in Buchanskyi and Vyshhorodskyi districts on Thursday, September 1.

Also, in the air of Kyiv during the week from August 22 to 27, 2022, an excess of the average daily maximum permissible concentrations of nitrogen dioxide by 6.7 times and formaldehyde by 3.9 times.
