In Kyiv, employees of National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), Specialized anti-corruption prosecutor's office (SAP) and Kyiv City State Administration (KMDA) prevented the illegal transfer to private property of Obolonsky Island with an area of 147.7 thousand square meters, located next to Natalka Park.
The Central Board of the Ministry of Justice satisfied the complaint of Pleso regarding the cancellation of the registration of the island by a private company, reports NABU.
The investigation was started thanks to investigative materials of "Scheme" journalists.
NABU detectives established that in 2019-2020, the hydrotechnical structure "Multifunctional Pressure Dam", located near the Obolon embankment, was removed from the property of the territorial community of Kyiv. Its area is almost 143 thousand square meters, which almost coincides with the area of the island.
"The ownership of the dam was illegally issued to a private company," NABU noted.
The territory of the island belongs to the Kyiv community and is included in the list of territories where the Dnipro Islands landscape park should be created, for which funds were allocated from the city budget.
NABU detectives created a working group together with the KMDA, which, based on the collected investigation materials, prepared a complaint regarding the cancellation of registration, which was satisfied by the Ministry of Justice.
The material also noted that the notary involved in this illegal registration was deprived of his license, and the other was banned from working until all the circumstances are clarified.
