Deputies listen to information about the status of European integration bills

On Thursday, August 25, at 10:30 a.m at the meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (VRU) on environmental policy and nature management will be held in videoconference mode.

EcoPolitic prepared for its readers the agenda of the committee.

Deputies will consider draft laws No. 7557 and No. 7557-1 on amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the functioning of local and voluntary fire protection, subject to the availability of the opinion of the Chief Scientific and Expert Department of the VRU apparatus. The committee is designated as the main committee for these draft laws.

The committee must submit its proposals to the following documents:

  • draft law No. 7651 in relation to shipping during the introduction of a state of war or emergency;
  • draft law No. 7536 regarding the taxation of certain operations with petroleum products;
  • draft law No. 7577 regarding the improvement of the management system of engineering infrastructure objects of state-owned reclamation systems;
  • draft law No. 7036 on promoting the development of industry and airport infrastructure.

The eco-committee will also consider a letter from People's Deputy of Ukraine Mykola Zadorozhny regarding the use of logging residues in economic activities and establishing a ban on their burning.

In addition, the People's Deputies will consider the information of the heads of the subcommittees regarding the state of consideration of draft laws in the direction of European integration.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Verkhovna Rada approved introduction of responsibility for failure to perform a strategic eco-assessment.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the ecocommittee supported the creation of the national register of emissions.
