The declared annual reduction of carbon emissions reaches 135.9 tons

In Lviv The Shevchenko 322 condominium has completed the implementation of an energy-efficient project within the framework of the ENERGODIM Program worth UAH 6.8 million during the martial law period.

The projected reduction in energy consumption is 40.1% or 523.57 thousand kWh, reports Energy Efficiency Fund.

The nine-story building was built 34 years ago, has two entrances, in which there are 95 apartments.

Shevchenko 322 chose package B Complex of the ENERGODIM Program, under which the following works were performed:

  • installation of a commercial thermal energy accounting unit;
  • modernization of the individual thermal unit (ITU);
  • thermal insulation pipelines of the internal heat supply system and pipelines of the hot water supply system in unheated rooms;
  • hydraulic balancing of the heating system by installing automatic (balancing) valves;
  • a complex of works on thermal insulation and arrangement of external walls;
  • replacement of external doors and arrangement of vestibules of the external entrance;
  • replacement of window and balcony door blocks in the premises (places) of common use of the building.

The head of the condominium, Iryna Petryshyn, noted that the co-owners of the building are extremely satisfied with the results of participation in the ENERGODIM program. Although the analysis of economic indicators has not yet been carried out, the expected reduction in energy consumption in winter reaches 40%, and possibly more.

"The comfort of the house and its appearance even exceeded all our expectations. We are proud that we were able to implement such a large-scale project. Its completion fell on the period of martial law and we are very grateful to the Foundation that in such a difficult time for everyone, it did not stop its activities and we managed to completely complete the project. This is incredible support for people," she added.

The total cost of the project amounted to UAH 6.8 million, of which UAH 4.7 million was the amount of the grant under the ENERGODIM Program, and the co-owners' own contribution amounted to about UAH 2.1 million. The cost of works for one apartment with an area of ​​60 sq/m2 amounted to UAH 79.6 thousand or UAH 1325.8/m2 of heating area;

The project lasted 17 months – from February 2021 to July 2022

Savings

The projected annual cost savings for heating needs for the entire building is UAH 638.3 thousand, and the declared annual reduction in carbon emissions is 135.9 tons/year.

Each family (apartment with an area of ​​60 sq/m2) will save an average of 7.5 thousand UAH per year or 125.1 UAH/m2.

The ENERGODIM program is financed by the authorized capital of the Energy Efficiency Fund, which is formed at the expense of the State Budget of Ukraine, as well as contributions from the EU and the Government of Germany, and is implemented in cooperation with IFC, GIZ and UNDP.

On March 30, 2022, the Supervisory Board of the Energy Efficiency Fund temporarily suspended a number of norms of the ENERGODIM Program, which simplified the submission of Applications.
