Burning of dead wood is prohibited in Ukraine, and arson is punishable by a fine

In the Lviv region, on June 29, rescuers went out 25 times to eliminate dead wood fires that destroyed over a hectare of land.

Rescuers urge not to become like the occupiers and stop destroying Ukraine, reports the State Emergency Service in the Lviv region on Facebook.

The fires were eliminated in Lviv, Yavoriv, ​​Chervonograd, Stryi, Zolochiv, Drohobych regions and in Lvov.

“In such a difficult time, under martial law, deliberately destroying Ukraine by burning dry grass on your land is a crime!” the rescuers urge. – “How do you differ from an occupier when you deliberately destroy your native land.”

The article recalled that in Ukraine there is a ban on burning dead wood, and arson is punishable by a fine:

  • for citizens from UAH 3060 to UAH 6120;
  • for officials 15 300 UAH. up to 21 420 UAH.

“Remember that only conscious behavior and strict adherence to fire safety rules will help to avoid unpleasant consequences. Take care of yourself and do not endanger others," the State Emergency Service said.
