Guarantees of the origin of green energy: a roadmap for action
From the end of 2021, the second EU directive on renewable energy, the so-called RED II directive, is mandatory for Ukraine. It significantly strengthens the regulation of guarantees of origin and expands the scope of their implementation. If earlier there was an obligation to issue guarantees for the origin of only electrical energy from renewable sources, today and in the future there are still guarantees for the origin of biomethane and hydrogen. The main thing is that guarantees of origin must comply with the European standard. The Roadmap for Action was developed by the State Energy Efficiency Agency.
