On Saturday, October 12, in Sumy, citizens took part in the EcoCross environmental campaign and collected 511.4 kg of garbage along the banks of the Sumka River.

Weekly "Your chance" reported, how the places were distributed among the teams based on the total weight of all collected garbage bags:

  • 1st place – "Brave Rabbits" team – 147.9 kg;
  • II place – Best Life team – 117.8 kg;
  • 3rd place – the team "Savior Chipmunks" – 101.5 kg;
  • IV place – "SBB-TIL" team – 86.6 kg;
  • V place – team "Fairies of Clean Streets" – 57.6 kg.

The organizer of the event was "Sumy Promotion Agency". She treated the participants to coffee and sweets and handed out valuable gifts.

Half a ton of garbage collected by eco-activists was taken away by the employees of "Servisresurs" LLC.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in July in the National Nature Park "Holosiivskyi" in Kyiv there was a great commotion, during which volunteers cleaned reservoirs and coastal areas of garbage. They collected more than 5 tons of waste and fragments of "Shaheda" in addition.
