The previous potential site of the industrial park is adjacent to a residential area

Veniamin Tuz, Director of the Lutsk City Planning, Land Resources and Advertising Department, said that the community is looking for an alternative site for the industrial park.

In a comment to "VolynUA" he noted that they are currently considering a site near the meat processing plant on Lidavska Street.

It is noted that earlier the industrial park on the territory of the Lutsk community was planned to be located in the village of Kniahynynok.

"We studied this issue. For now, we decided to put it on hold. Economic activity is not too high now. In addition, the plot of land in Knyagininka is adjacent to residential buildings. It is not a very good idea to build industrial facilities next to houses," Tuz emphasized. .

He explained that an alternative site could be the area of the meat processing plant on Lidavska Street, because there is a large industrial zone there.

"Accommodation is more interesting for investors. However, it should be said that the companies that moved to us managed to locate on the already available spaces," Tuz added.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Volyn, in Novovolynsk, an open meeting of city council members and the public took place with a potential investor regarding the construction of an organics processing plant.Earlier, community residents opposed such construction because of environmental threats.
