Over the course of a week, the violators voluntarily and forcibly compensated 1.7 million hryvnias in damages

In Transcarpathia, eco-inspectors calculated 9.25 million hryvnias in damages for illegal felling in the regional landscape park "Prytisyanskyi".

This became the most high-profile violation of environmental legislation during the week from August 18 to 24, the State Environmental Inspection reports on Facebook.

It is noted that the violation occurred on the lands of the village of Drotyntsi of the Vynogradivska territorial community. The materials were sent to the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The message said that Ternopil Oblast became another anti-leader region.

On the territory of the Zborivsk Territorial Community, eco-inspectors discovered unauthorized mining of minerals, probably clay (brick and tile raw materials). Losses from such activities reached 2.8 million hryvnias. The materials were sent to the head office of the National Police of the Ternopil region.

It is noted that during the week, eco-inspectors conducted 112 control measures and drew up 248 protocols on administrative offenses. The total amount of fines imposed reached 60 thousand hryvnias, 52 thousand hryvnias were charged to the State Budget.

The press service added that:

  • damages in the amount of 12.9 million hryvnias were calculated for violating the requirements of environmental protection legislation;
  • the total amount of submitted claims and lawsuits amounted to 9.3 million hryvnias;
  • 1.7 million hryvnias in damages were collected voluntarily and forcibly.

As reported by EcoPolitics earlier, in Transcarpathia, in one of the regional landscape parks of local importance near Uzhhorod, eco-inspectors found 230 tree stumps from illegally cut trees. The amount of damages reached 28 million hryvnias.
