Eco-inspectors will calculate the damage caused to land resources

In the Sumy region, in the town of Dubovyazunka, eco-inspectors found a 365-fold increase in the concentration of ammonium nitrogen in the soil after the shelling of the agricultural enterprise BIO LAT, which caused a large-scale fire.

This caused damage to the atmospheric air in the amount of 6.8 million hryvnias, reports State Inspection on Telegram.

Russian troops damaged a container with a urea-ammonia mixture (KAS-32) and 6 tanks with 155 tons of diesel fuel.

Petroleum products and liquid nitrogen fertilizer fell on an open plot of land with a total area of more than 350 m2.

Eco-inspectors took soil samples and conducted a study that showed an excess concentration:

  • ammonium nitrogen – 365 times;
  • organic substances – almost 12 times;
  • non-polar hydrocarbons – 17 times;
  • nitrates – almost 18 times.

"Based on the received data, the inspectorate will calculate the damage caused to land resources by servicemen of the russian federation," the material said.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Sumy region airstrike on the recreation center Sonyachna Polyana, which is located in the middle of the forest farm, caused losses in the amount of almost 1.73 million hryvnias.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, in Sumy region fire at the Trostyanetska chocolate factory, which lasted more than a day in March 2022, caused 10.6 million hryvnias of damage to the environment.
