The energy cooperative will also help recover from Russia the damages caused to the energy infrastructure

The International Energy Community will help Ukraine rebuild the energy sector, including alternative energy facilities.

The relevant memorandum was signed by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and the head of the delegation of the Energy Cooperative Secretariat Artur Lorkovsky, Shmyhal reports on Facebook.

A number of European and third countries are members of the Energy Community.

Shmyhal noted that the community will support priority projects of construction and reconstruction of energy infrastructure.

He added that the memorandum also envisages cooperation in the preparation of lawsuits against Russia to collect compensation for damage to the energy infrastructure.

"During the meeting, we also discussed steps to further synchronize the energy systems of Ukraine and the EU and increase the power export-import capacity, Shmyhal said. Together we will restore and transform Ukraine into a modern European state."

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Government's Priority Action Plan for 2023. Special attention will be paid to the development of green energy and the implementation of the principles of the European green course.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, former Minister of Energy Oleksiy Orzhel said that Ukraine could start exporting electricity during surplus daytime hours, when the amount of solar generation is the greatest.
