Sterilization prevents the occurrence of many diseases in animals and is almost the most effective way to solve the problem of homeless animals

In Kyiv, until October 11, the campaign for the World Animal Protection Day will continue, within the framework of which 30 pet sterilization operations will be carried out.

Also, on October 8, a special photo session will be held at the Temporary Animal Shelter "Exhibition Center", where those who want to can take pictures with the animals to help them find a home, KMDA reports on Facebook.

Socially vulnerable sections of the population will be able to take advantage of the sterilization offer. For this, it is necessary to contact one of the clinics of KP "Kyiv City Veterinary Medicine Hospital":

The message stated that the photos from the action at the animal shelter will be used to spread information about the pets, which will help them find a home.

Acting Natalya Mazur, director of the "Kyiv City Hospital of Veterinary Medicine" KP, explained that the purpose of these events is to draw attention to the situation with respect for animal rights.

"The Declaration of the Rights of Animals states that any animal dependent on humans has the right to care and protection. Sterilization is a concern, because it prevents the occurrence of many diseases in animals and is probably the most effective tool for solving the problem of homeless animals," she said.
