The EcoCommittee of the Verkhovna Rada will hold a meeting on May 10: agenda

People's deputies will consider draft law No. 9213 "On restoration of energy security and "green" transformation of the energy system of Ukraine"

On Wednesday, May 10, a meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management will be held via video conference at 13:00 p.m.

EcoPolitic has prepared the agenda of the committee for its readers.

The People's Deputies will consider government draft laws regarding which the committee is designated as the main committee:

  • draft law No. 6349 "On improving the procedure for carrying out environmental audits, in accordance with Part 5 of Article 44 of the Law of Ukraine "On Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine";
  • draft law No. 9099 "About ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men serving in the civil protection service, preventing and countering discrimination and sexual harassment".

In addition, the eco-committee must submit its proposals to:

  • Draft Law No. 0199 "On Ukraine's accession to the Minamata Convention on Mercury";
  • draft law No. 9213 "On restoration of energy security and green transformation of the energy system of Ukraine";
  • Draft Law No. 8415 "On state control of international transfers of strategic goods";
  • Draft Law No. 9078 "On amendments to chapter XV "Final Provisions" of the Law of Ukraine "On mandatory state pension insurance" regarding sources of payment for pension delivery services and payment of burial benefits";
  • draft law No. 9242 "On simplifying the procedure for the allocation of land plots for the development of digital infrastructure".

People's deputies will also consider the following issues:

  • approval of the recommendations of the hearings in the eco-committee on the topic "Impact of military actions on the environment in Ukraine and its restoration to a natural state";
  • personal composition of sub-committees of the eco-committee;
  • a letter from People's Deputy Serhiy Magera regarding inclusion in the subcommittee on overcoming the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management expressed its lack of confidence in Ihor Zubovych, the acting Head of the State Environmental Inspection, after his report on the results of work for the year.
