The EcoCommittee of the Verkhovna Rada will hold a meeting on March 15: agenda

People's deputies will consider draft law No. 8410 "On environmental impact assessment"

On Wednesday, March 15, a meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management will be held via video conference at 11:00 a.m.

EcoPolitic has prepared the agenda of the committee for its readers.

People's deputies will consider 2 draft laws regarding which the ecocommittee is designated as the main one, namely:

  • draft law No. 8363 "On ensuring ecological safety of water use";
  • Draft Law No. 8410 "On amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Environmental Impact Assessment".

In addition, the eco-committee must submit its proposals to:

  • draft Resolution No. 9060 "On the address of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the parliaments of all foreign countries, the European Parliament and the International Atomic Energy Agency regarding the imposition of sanctions on the Russian state atomic energy corporation Rosatom and the introduction of measures to reduce cooperation with the Russian Federation in the field of nuclear energy";
  • draft law No. 9071 "On ensuring a decent level of remuneration for persons who perform the duty of protecting the Motherland, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine";
  • draft law No. 9077 "On amendments to article 87 of the Budget Code of Ukraine regarding the determination of sources of funding for certain pension payments and the costs of their delivery."
