They are fined

Employees of the municipal guard of Novovolynsk, together with employees of the State Emergency Service, used a quadcopter to identify offenders burning dry grass.

This was reported on Facebook by the Municipal Guard Department of the Executive Committee of the Novovolynsk City Council.

While patrolling the outskirts of the city, their employees, along with emergency workers, found the arsonists.

Two reports of administrative offenses were drawn up against them under Art. 152 of the Code of Administrative Offenses “Violation of state standards, norms and rules in the field of improvement of settlements, rules for the improvement of settlements.”

Now the arsonists will face a hefty fine. As a reminder, it ranges from UAH 3,060 to UAH 6,120 for citizens and from UAH 15,300 to UAH 21,420 for officials. If the violation occurred within a nature reserve fund, the fines are doubled. If the resulting fire causes significant damage, violators may also be held criminally liable.

The municipal guard also distributed information leaflets to local residents with materials about the dangers of burning dry vegetation and the responsibility for such a violation.

Recently, EcoPolitic talked about the alarming statistics of fires in Ukraine, the number of which increased sharply in March. It is worth noting that fires are recorded all over Ukraine, not just in the war zones. This indicates that the main cause of the fires is the human factor – the burning of dead wood.
