The Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management plans to hold a meeting on Wednesday, 28 January. Parliamentarians will consider three draft laws, as well as a number of separate issues. The event will begin at 12:00 and will take place online, in the form of a video conference.

EcoPolitic reports on the agenda for the next meeting, which was published on the website of the parliamentary eco-committee.

Draft laws to be considered

The main item for consideration is the draft law on amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the regulation of mandatory evacuation (No. 12353). The document has been prepared for the second reading.

The committee is also to submit its proposals on the draft laws submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers:

  • on amendments to Article 4 of the Law "On the Legal Regime of Martial Law" (No. 14319). The document will determine the status of military administration employees in cities and towns of Ukraine;
  • on amendments to certain laws in the field of renewable energy sources. The draft law aims to implement the norms of European legislation (No. 14271).

Additional issues

In addition to the draft laws, the environmental committee plans to consider individual issues. The agenda mentions the following:

  • the tentative schedule of meetings of the Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management for February 2026;
  • the report on the results of the compliance audit on the topic "Environmental Impact Assessment and Strategic Environmental Assessment – on the way to the 'Green Transition'", approved by the decision of the Accounting Chamber dated 25.11.2025 No. 28-2;
  • the staffing schedule of the Secretariat of the National Commission for Radiation Protection of the Population of Ukraine.

At the previous meeting, the Environmental Policy Committee recommended draft laws on the biocide market and on combating flooding for consideration by parliament. This was reported by EcoPolitic.
