There is a garbage collector in Kharkiv Trash killer cleaned the Udy River of 43 tons of various garbage, including plastic, bottles, etc.
This amount of garbage was collected in 2 years since the installation of the equipment, reports eco-activist Artem Prykhodko on Facebook.
He explained that the Trash killer works according to the following principle: garbage is carried by the current, and at the place of installation of the structure, it is delayed and falls into the trash can.
Prykhodko said that during the 2 years of work on the garbage collector, only the garbage basket was repaired and the mesh elements damaged by corrosion were replaced. That is, the building proved to be reliable, economical and efficient.
The eco-activist emphasized that Trash killer was cleaned of garbage 20 times in 2 years.
"Let's keep our nature clean together!" he said.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in April 2022 in Kharkiv, despite systematic shelling, the garbage collector "Trash Killer" on the Uda River was cleared of 3 tons of wet garbage.
As EcoPolitic previously reported, in December 2021 in Kyiv, the art installation "Toloka: Clean Udy" was shown. It consisted of garbage that volunteers caught from the Udy River in the Kharkiv region.
