In the occupied Kherson Region, Russians are transporting animals from the unique biosphere reserve "Askania-Nova" to the Krasnodar Zoo "Safari Park".

The animals are being exported as part of the so-called cooperation agreement, reports the Center of National Resistance.

It is noted that this agreement is not valid, because it is signed on behalf of the Ukrainian reserve by a Russian protege who is not the manager.

The article emphasized that the occupiers are actually stealing animals and destroying a unique nature reserve. In addition, Russian soldiers were previously spotted on the territory of the reserve.

"Everyone responsible for this crime will be held accountable after the de-occupation of the region," the authors assured.

They also called on Ukrainians to inform about enemies and collaborators by link.

Askania-Nova is the largest steppe reserve in Europe, which has never been plowed. This is the oldest protected complex in Ukraine. It has a natural landscape of dry typchakovo-kovila steppe, an arboretum, a number of rare and red book species of animals and plants. They also live in the reserve herds of kanna, wildebeest and nilgau, as well as zebras.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the occupied Kherson Oblast, a fire broke out in the Askania-Nova biosphere reserve. The fire covered 7,000 hectares of steppe in the "Southern" area.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the head of the press center of the operational command "South" Nataliya Humenyuk reported that in the Kherson region the invaders are destroying the coast and black soil. They are using prohibited weapons that destroy and burn all ecosystems.
