They plan to open in Lviv in November Jam Factory Art Center, which was equipped solar batteries and heat pumps.

The jam factory was reconstructed for about 8 years and at first it was not planned to install alternative sources of energy, however, after the start of a full-scale war, adjustments were made to the project, reports Zaxid.net.

It is noted that the jam factory is one of the most picturesque examples of industrial buildings in Lviv. It has a facade and a tower in the neo-Gothic style, reminiscent of an English castle. Currently, it has been transformed into a cultural interdisciplinary institution.

"When the war began, we completely revised the concept of energy consumption. We had developed a system for consuming a large amount of gas, and it had to be changed in the process to a system with alternative sources, with solar batteries, heat pumps. And we consciously went to this decision, understanding , that this will make the project more expensive and take longer, because a lot of things had to be changed, but now we can see the result," said Tetyana Fedoruk, operational executive director of the Jam Factory Art Center.

It is noted that the building was built in the 19th century as the "Joseph Kronik and Son" alcoholic beverage factory. The Soviet authorities nationalized the enterprise and started a winery. Later, a vegetable base that processed products worked here. The building was in ruins until 2015, but it was bought by the Austrian historian and philanthropist Harald Binder, who launched the reconstruction.

The cost of the SPP reaches 6.3 million hryvnias, 10% of the amount will be paid by the city council, and the hospital will pay the rest.
