After the evacuation, the soldier began to miss his dog very much

Animal rights activists evacuated a dog from the front, which was in Donetsk region together with military officer Roman.

The dog was handed over to the shelter, but the soldier could not part with the pet and asked to take her to her native Chortkov so that she would wait for him at home, reports the public organization UAnimals in Telegram.

Animal rights activists said that they had to postpone the departure date three times, but in the end they managed to evacuate the animal to a shelter in Sumy. However, then Roman asked to take the dog to his hometown.

"Roman became so attached to the animal while they were together at the front that after the evacuation he began to miss his tailed friend very much," they shared.

The authors noted that before the man went to fight, he took care of homeless animals in his city, including sterilizing them and finding new families for them.

"Volunteers from Ternopil have now found a home for this dog in Chortkov, and our team has taken the dog there. She will be waiting for her Roman there," UAnimals said.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that, with the help of volunteers, the policeman from Mariupol, Oleg Neborak, searched for and returned his dog Ben, who was separated from him by the war for 9 months.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, Olena and Ivan, Ternopil animal volunteers from the public organization Noah's Ark, who evacuated dogs after the Russian shelling of the village of Velyka Vilshanytsia in the Lviv region on March 9, took Balthazar, a German shepherd, to their family.
