In the summer, solar generation will be able to further support the energy system of Ukraine

DTEK increased its solar electricity production from 18.5 million kWh in January to 35.2 million kWh in February.

This contributed to the fact that there was no shortage of electricity in the power system on most days of February, DTEK reports about it on Telegram.

In the message, it was emphasized that the effective operation of solar generation was ensured by an increase in daylight hours. It also made it possible to provide Ukrainians with light without blackouts.

"There will be even more sun in the summer, and SPPs will support Ukraine's energy system even more," the press service emphasized.

The message also emphasized that since February 1, the power industry has restored the operation of 2/3 of the inverters of the Trifonivskaya SPP in the Kherson region. For rapid reconstruction, a construction site was set up on the territory of the station, and local residents were involved in the restoration work.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in January DTEK started in the Kherson region restore the operation of the Trifonivska solar power plant, which already provides energy to the residents of the region.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the state enterprise "Guaranteed Buyer" has developed proposals for changes to the law on the electricity market, which will allow to export green electricity to the EU.
