Eco-inspectors have estimated 1.45 million hryvnias in damages from the soil littering with destruction waste after the Russian shelling of the Mykolaiv National University named after V. O. Sukhomlynskyi.
The buildings of the institution were hit by two rockets, namely on July 5 and August 2, 2022, the State Environmental Inspection of the South-West District reports on Facebook.
As you know, this university is one of the largest higher education institutions in the city.
The press service emphasized that the debris of the university's buildings littered a land plot with an area of 35,430 m2.
"The calculation was carried out on the basis of the "Methodology for determining the amount of damage caused to land and soil as a result of emergency situations and/or armed aggression and hostilities during martial law", approved by the order of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine dated 04.04.2022 No. 167," the message says.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the eco-inspectors calculated more than 140 million hryvnias in damages from the debris of the buildings of 4 medical institutions in Mykolaiv.
As EcoPolitic previously reported, eco-inspectors estimated 2.4 million hryvnias in damages from the fire of dry grass, which occurred due to the impact of ammunition and their fragments, in the Kutsurub territorial community of the Mykolaiv region. The fire released 792 tons of carbon dioxide into the air and destroyed 10,000 square meters of territory.
