There are also 3 "pre-war" draft laws in the field of industrial pollution prevention

The Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management on Wednesday, December 28, approved without discussion, the text of draft law No. 6004-D on control of industrial pollution for registration and submission for consideration at the next meeting.

Energy under the dome reports about it on Telegram.

The document has:

  • promote eco-modernization of large industrial polluters;
  • introduce a systematic and consistent approach to reforming the permitting system in the field of industrial pollution prevention and reduction;
  • to increase the effectiveness of coordination of actions between all stakeholders, i.e. interested parties.

There are also 3 "pre-war" draft laws in the field of industrial pollution prevention:

  • No. 6004 "On integrated prevention and control of industrial pollution";
  • No. 6004-1 "On prevention, reduction and control of pollution arising as a result of industrial activity";
  • No. 6004-2 "On ensuring the constitutional rights of citizens to an environment safe for life and health".

As EcoPolitic reported before, the European Business Association called to finalize the consolidated draft law on industrial pollution control before it is put to a vote in the Verkhovna Rada. The document takes into account previous proposals and comments, contains a number of positive provisions, as well as ambiguous points.
