One of the startups makes paper from fallen leaves to keep trees alive

Eco-activists of the "Ukraine without Garbage" public association (UWG) have prepared the TOP-5 startups of Ukrainians who, despite the war, continue to fight for the preservation of the planet.

After all, it is time to be eco-conscious, writes UWG on Telegram.

  • Alcohol in a reusable container (ECOSPIRITS);

Eco-activists emphasized that when choosing a reusable container, the consumer exits the cycle of producing a large amount of bottle waste.

  • Composting the dead (RECOMPOSE);

"This is important, because when you leave this world, you will not leave behind poisonous black smoke or a shock dose of nitrogen in the soil, but humus," they explained.

  • Plastic processing (THE GOD PLASTIC COMPANY);

The company recycles plastic bottles that would have littered landfills for centuries into designer works of art.

The report emphasized that some global brands, such as Adidas, decorate their stores exclusively with recycled materials.

  • Paper from fallen leaves (RELEAF PAPER);

Eco-activists drew attention to the fact that fallen leaves are usually collected in plastic bags and taken to landfills. However, the company takes precisely the leaves the tree does not need for paper production, so as not to take its life.

  • Sorting station (UKRAINE WITHOUT GARBAGE).

"This is important, because by regularly sorting at the station, you stop thinking only bad things about garbage and finally see it as a resource," ecoactivists noted.

They also emphasized that Ukrainians destroy myths and prove that they sort no worse than Europeans.

As EcoPolitic reported before, in the world during 2022 were numerous positive environmental projects have been implemented of different scales – from small local to global ones that can change the world. Climate and natural crises may cause so-called environmental anxiety, but the "victories" show that "there is hope".
