There is a strict ban on visiting forests in the region

Residents of the Kyiv region, in particular Kyiv, were urged not to visit forests, even during the mushroom picking season.

According to the State Emergency Service, the risk of being blown up by mines in the forest will remain for at least a year, the State Inspectorate of the Capital District reports on Facebook.

The message reminded that there is a strict ban on visiting forests in the region.

Demining of the forests of Kyiv region could have happened much faster, but the pyrotechnic units, which in April-May were actively checking the region, were sent to the recently de-occupied territories of Ukraine, in particular to Kharkiv region.

The State Emergency Service on Facebook noted that during the day of September 22, pyrotechnic units discovered, removed and neutralized 900 explosive objects and surveyed 64 hectares.

"Since the beginning of the large-scale military invasion of russia on the territory of Ukraine, 206,308 explosive objects and 1,667 kg of explosives, including 2,110 aerial bombs, have been defused, and an area of 71,145 hectares has been surveyed," the rescuers said.

They also urged that in case of discovery of a suspicious object or explosives, immediately report it to the phone number "101".

Earlier, EcoPlitic wrote, that in Kyiv all the capital's parks and squares were examined for explosive objects and most green recreation areas are safe for walking.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, in Kyiv, specialists of the State Emergency Service checked all beaches for the presence of explosive objects. Of the 22 urban recreation areas near the water four were banned from swimming.
