The content of toxic substances in the air reached almost the maximum allowable values

In Kryvyi Rih, after the shelling on August 29, the air quality in some areas significantly deteriorated – from satisfactory to moderately polluted.

This is stated in the analysis of indicators of EcoCity public monitoring stations of the environmental protection organization Dovkola, reports the "Enough to poison Kryvyi Rih" community on Facebook.

In addition to destruction and human casualties, shelling leads to air pollution.

Thus, on August 29, after 8 p.m., the content of formaldehyde, fine particles of fraction 2.5 and carbon monoxide in certain microdistricts reached almost the maximum allowable values.

The article emphasized that people can independently monitor air quality in Ukraine on the network's website EcoCity.

Although currently there are not many air quality monitoring stations in Kryvyi Rih, "Enough to Poison Kryvyi Rih" plans to increase their number.

"We are in the process of choosing points for placement. Also, if you would like to monitoring air pollution near your house and want to place a station at your home, send us an application in a message or by mail ecodtkr@gmail.com ", the article noted.

As EcoPolitic reported before, free online air quality monitoring map appeared in Ukraine, where you can monitor the level of pollution in real time.
