The fight against unauthorized landfills continues

In the Rivne region, in the center of the village of Demydivka, a spontaneous landfill was liquidated.

Violations were discovered thanks to the appeal of concerned citizens, reports the State Environmental Inspection of Polissky District on Facebook.

Residents of Demydivka, who contacted the State Inspectorate, said that the mountain of garbage that grew up in the middle of the village was growing every day. They asked to take appropriate response measures.

Eco-inspectors went to the specified place and recorded the fact stated in the application. They sent a letter of demand to the address of the Demydiv settlement council to take measures to eliminate this unauthorized landfill.

"The fight against unauthorized landfills continues," the article noted.

The specified requirement was quickly fulfilled by the local self-government body – the unauthorized landfill was liquidated in the shortest possible time.

"Don't create spontaneous garbage dumps – it's better to meet victory in cleanliness," urged the SEI.

Earlier EcoPolitic informed, that in Zhytomyr liquidated a spontaneous landfill, thanks to the message to the "Hotline" of a concerned citizen.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, occurred in the Rivne region near the town of Berezne in the Sluch River fish plague during which 43,670 fish died. Damage to the environment amounted to almost 5 million hryvnias.
