The People's Deputies will not consider profile bills for which the committee is designated as the main one

On Friday, January 26, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management will meet via video conference at 11:00 a.m.

EcoPolitic has prepared the committee's agenda for its readers.

The MPs will consider the draft law No. 10409 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts to Clarify the Powers of the Central Executive Body Implementing the State Policy in the Field of Civil Protection and Other State Bodies in the Field of Critical Infrastructure Protection", in respect of which the Environmental Committee is designated as the lead committee.

The environmental committee is also to submit its proposals to the draft law No. 10410 "On Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses to Introduce Liability for Non-Compliance with the Law of Ukraine "On Strategic Environmental Assessment".

The MPs will also consider a number of issues regarding:

  • candidates for permanent delegations of the Verkhovna Rada in parliamentary bodies of international organizations. ;
  • a letter from People's Deputy of Ukraine Olena Kryvoruchkina regarding the implementation of some provisions of Law No. 2320-IX "On Waste Management".

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in connection with the urgent need to solve environmental problems and fulfill European integration obligations in 2024 in Ukraine key draft laws regarding climate and environment protection, as well as the implementation of garbage reform should be adopted.
